Help Jordy naar het EK Parazwemmen 2024
Ik ben een 20-jarige parazwemmer die in 2024 deelneemt aan het EK zwemmen in Madeira. Hiervoor zoek ik financiële steun.
Mijn naam is Jordy Maes. Ik ben een 20-jarige zwemmer met een Heriditaire Spastische Paraparese (Strümpell-Lorrain) en ik heb mij dit jaar kunnen plaatsen voor het Europees kampioenschap parazwemmen in Madeira. De kosten voor deelname aan deze wedstrijd komen echter allemaal op mijn schouders terecht. Deelname aan deze wedstrijd alleen al kost 3000 euro. Ook de voorbereidende stage zal ik zelf moeten bekostigen.
Sinds september 2023 ben ik gestart met trainen bij het topsport team van g-sport Vlaanderen te Brugge. Hiervoor zwom ik al van kinds af aan bij de zwemclub AZL uit Lebbeke.
Doordat mijn mama alleenstaand is en ik ook 2 broers heb is het extreem moeilijk om al deze kosten zelf te dragen.
Ik zet deze actie dan ook op om zo veel mogelijk steun te kunnen krijgen naar dit mooie doel toe en ook naar verdere doelen zoals WK's en paralympische spelen (2028).

My name is Jordy Maes. I am a 20-year-old swimmer with a Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis (Strümpell-Lorrain) and I was able to qualify for the European Para Swimming Championships in Madeira this year. However, the costs of participating in this competition are all on my shoulders. Participation in this competition alone costs 3000 euros. I will also have to finance the training camp myself.
Since September 2023, I have started training with the top sports team of g-sport Vlaanderen in Bruges. Before this, I have been swimming at the AZL swimming club from Lebbeke since I was a child.
Because my mother is single and I also have 2 brothers, it is extremely difficult to bear all these costs myself.
I am launching this campaign to receive as much support as possible for this great cause and also for further goals such as the World Championship and the Paralympic Games (2028).
