The goal of Cemetery Cats is to reduce the stray cat population on Corfu and give stray cats a home.

Since 2020 October 11 Cemetery Cats became quiet known as cat sanctuary, though they were never a registered charity or shelter, they do not have official premises, staff or any financing. More than 130 permanent feline residents of their fast expanding cat colony are relying solely on donations and hard work of volunteers.
For a few years now the challenges they face daily are sterilisations of cats in their area and all around town, treating and feeding their colony and original colony not far from them. As well they care about cats and kittens brought to them from all over the island often for recuperation after surgeries, accidents, illnesses. Often we provided shelter for dumped, mistreated, abused, abandoned, blind or maimed and their numbers keep growing.
Unfortunately from spring all the way to late autumn they are dumping ground for unwanted kittens and often their mothers.
Besides daily work at the “shelter”, recovery room and kittygarten, participation in TNR programs their time is often spent looking for funds for food and medical bills and finding good homes to dozens and dozens abandoned kittens, elderly or sick cats as unfortunately many have nowhere to go.
Please support this cat shelter if you can!
Are you seriously interested in adopting a stray? Then get in touch. The volunteers, who look after the cat colony, know all the characters of the cats and can give excellent advice on which cat will fit in which family situation.
An adoptable cat from Cemetery Cats is: vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and has a passport. Kittens may travel abroad from 3.5 months. For the cat's journey from Corfu to abroad, Cemetery Cats is looking for a ‘flight buddy’, someone to accompany the cat on the flight/travel.

MOUSE LOOKS FOR A HOUSE
This is Mouse. She was found in the rubbish bins when she was just a few days old. Her name speaks for itself. She was raised with a lot of care, love and milk bottles. Keeping Mouse alive was a big challenge because she was so small. But now she is a very sweet, healthy little lady. Mouse does not live in the shelter, but with her foster mother. We are now desperately looking for a forever home for Mouse. We hope so much that someone wants to adopt her and that she will not have to live in a shelter. Would you like to adopt Mouse? If so, please contact us.
