Help Me Save My Family in Gaza – Every Second Counts

My family in Gaza is trapped — under constant bombardment, without food, water, or medical care. They are fighting for their lives every single day.

My little sister was critically injured in a brutal attack. Another sister was wounded in a separate bombing. My father is injured and in constant pain. My mother is sick and has no access to the treatment she needs. And my eldest sister lost her first child to hunger, and her second child was killed by an airstrike.

Every week, I need around €1,000 just to cover basic food, medicine, and treatment for my family. I can barely cover their survival, and I simply cannot do it alone anymore.

On top of that, my family is also caring for children — neighbors’ children and relatives’ kids who have no one else to support them. Providing for them adds even more pressure, but my family continues to protect them as best they can.

Can you imagine seeing your sister die in front of you and being unable to do anything?

Hearing your mother’s voice crying in pain and finding no medicine?

Sending money knowing it wouldn't even be enough to buy a loaf of bread?

I live this nightmare every day. I'm not asking for the impossible, just a chance to save those I love. Their voices call to me every night, and the world around me is silent.

    A Family Trying to Survive

I come from a family of 8 siblings — 4 brothers and 4 sisters. One of my sisters lost a kidney and suffered life-threatening injuries to her chest, spine, and foot. Another sister lost her infant daughter due to malnutrition and lack of medical care. My parents are both in urgent need of treatment and support.

My sister wasn’t just my sibling — she was my best friend, my soul, my IT study partner. We shared one dream: to use education and technology to lift our family out of suffering. Now she’s fighting to stay alive.

    What I'm Trying to Do

The costs are overwhelming — food, water, medicine, treatment, and possibly evacuation — all under siege. I hear my family's voices in my sleep. I send money every week, but it’s never enough.

We’ve lost loved ones. We’ve lost homes. But we haven’t lost hope. Hope lives in every hand that reaches out. Be that hand today.

My Family’s Endless Struggle – More Than 37 Times Displaced

Since the beginning of this war, my family has been forced to flee over 37 times. Imagine carrying your children, the injured, the sick, and the elderly — again and again — with nowhere safe to go. Each time, my family gathers what little they can, only to abandon it days later, running from bombs, fire, and death.

Now, once again, they were forced to leave North Gaza after Israel announced its intention to invade the area. The cost of this single displacement was over $2,000, because my father and several of my siblings are injured. Moving them is painful, slow, and expensive. They now live in a torn and fragile tent where the wind and dust pass through freely. For the wounded, this is life-threatening — because dirty wounds mean deadly infections.

But it is not only my immediate family. Four other families — my relatives, including my married brothers and sisters — are staying together with them. In total, there are many children, three injured family members, my sick mother, my father, and all my siblings. Providing even the basics — food, clean water, and medicine — has become nearly impossible.

The weekly cost of medical care is more than $800, and that does not include food and water for 8 children, the wounded, and the elderly. Every day is a fight against hunger, pain, and despair. And yet, in Gaza, there is no other choice but to keep going.

My family has already lost half of our relatives in this war. Cousins, uncles, children — lives cut short in seconds. This unbearable loss is why my family now insists on staying together, no matter how hard it is. They say:

"If death comes again, let us face it side by side, so none of us are left behind to grieve alone."

I cannot put into words the heartbreak of hearing those words from my own family. It is a kind of pain I wish no one in the world would ever know. To see your loved ones living in fear, carrying their wounds, holding their children tightly, never knowing if tomorrow will come.

And yet, despite all of this, I want to pause and say thank you. To each person who has donated, shared our campaign, or prayed for us: your kindness is a light in this endless darkness. Without you, I could not even provide the little support I send every week.

But the truth is: the suffering continues, and the needs are overwhelming. Every euro that reaches my family is not just money — it is food for hungry children, medicine for the wounded, and the hope that they can hold on one more day.

Please, if you can, share this campaign with your friends, family, and community. By spreading our story, you give us a chance to survive. By standing with us, you show my family they are not forgotten.

Weekly Update – Urgent Help Needed

This week, I received donations totaling €348 out of the €2,000 needed. Thanks to your generosity, I was able to send donations to my family to cover urgent needs like food and medical care. Your support has already made a real difference in their lives, and I am deeply grateful.

However, the situation remains extremely dangerous. My family now needs to move to southern Gaza as soon as possible, as the area where they are living is now a red zone — extremely dangerous and life-threatening.

Every donation, share, and prayer brings us closer to keeping my family safe. I kindly ask for your continued support — even sharing this campaign can make a huge difference.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us during this critical time.

Today, I was finally able to send the donations — and because of your kindness, 9 families received urgent help this week, including my own.

Here’s how your generosity changed lives:

? 1 family in critical condition – The family of Adham and his children, with 3 members seriously injured. Adham urgently needed a leg surgery, otherwise his both legs would have been amputated. I sent €500 to cover this medical procedure.

? 7 families in desperate need – The remaining funds were divided among families with no food, medical care, or basic supplies:

Hanan and her daughter – her husband was killed in the bombing, and she is now alone raising her child.

Mai – mother of 4 boys and a girl, with a husband who is injured.

Nouri – suffering from injuries and in urgent need of support.

Ibrahim and his children – struggling without an income.

Awad and her 6 children - after her husband’s death she is the sole provider for her kids.

My own family – needing food and medical treatment.

Other families did not agree to display their names due to safety concerns.

Each of these families received help because you cared. Your donations turned into food on their tables, medicine in their hands, and hope in their hearts.

I wish you could see their tears of relief, their gratitude, and the way your kindness has lit up lives in the middle of darkness.

? Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for standing with Gaza’s forgotten families.

? The need is still urgent — many more are waiting for help. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference.

Incredible Progress – Thank You from the Heart

Today alone, we raised €2,740, and I can’t begin to describe how deeply grateful and happy I am.

Because of your kindness, I will now be able to provide urgent support to families who have no food.

This is not just money — this is life-saving aid, hope, and dignity for people who have nothing.

I want to thank everyone who donated today, yesterday, or at any time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring about these families, for seeing their pain, and for acting with compassion.

?️ The funds will be sent next week, as the Steunactie platform processes transfers every Wednesday.

? I will post an update next week sharing who received the aid, how it was delivered, and the names of the families supported (with their permission).

You are part of this mission — and today, you gave people a reason to believe they are not forgotten.

    With endless gratitude,

    Alaa

    Weekly Campaign Update??

I want to thank every kind soul who accepted my call to donate and stand with me — to help my family and other families suffering from hunger in Gaza.

This week, we raised €621 thanks to your generosity.

With this amount, I was able to provide emergency food aid to three families:

    My injured and displaced family

    A family of orphans

And another wounded family living in hunger

Every meal delivered… every tear wiped away… every child who slept with a full stomach — it was all because of your support.

But the crisis is far from over. Many families are still waiting. And every day, the need grows.

? Please help me continue this campaign.

So I don’t have to say “I can’t help you” to a hungry mother or a crying child.

We Still Need Your Help to Save Lives

First, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, or sent prayers. Because of you, my family and several others in Gaza have been able to survive another day.

But the reality is heartbreaking: the need is growing every single hour. Families are calling me, begging for food, milk for their children, or medicine for their loved ones. And I have nothing left to give them.

I can’t do this alone. My family and more than 19 other families are still living without proper food, clean water, or medical care. Some are mothers raising children in tents. Some are elderly who have no one else.

? Please, if you can donate—even €5—it matters. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign might save a life.

➡️ Every second counts. Together, we can make sure these families are not forgotten.

    ?️ Donation Report – Week 5

This week, with your continued kindness and support,

    we raised €792.50.

These funds came at a time of urgent medical need within my own family.

? My sister Maisa, who was already injured, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

? My mother, who suffers from chronic illnesses, needed medication and medical attention.

? My father, in constant pain, urgently needed pain relief and care.

Because of these urgent health issues and the limited amount raised,

I was sadly unable to support any other families this week.

    ? Looking ahead

Our goal remains to help 26 families in Gaza — families who continue to wait for support.

But with medical emergencies affecting my own family this week, and the donation amount not being sufficient, our ability to help others was limited.

I truly hope next week we can raise more — so we can return to reaching those families who are still waiting for food, medicine, and basic care.

    Every euro goes to:

    ✅ Urgent medical needs

    ✅ Food

    ✅ Survival essentials

? Please help us reach more people by sharing the campaign:

Every act of kindness makes a real difference.

Every share brings us closer to helping another family in need.

With deep thanks and renewed hope,Alaa

Gaza on the Brink of Starvation: Why Are 2.3 Million People Dying of Hunger While the World Stays Silent?

directed at non-Palestinians who may not grasp the scale of the worsening catastrophe in the Gaza Strip. What’s happening there is not just a passing humanitarian crisis, but a deliberate famine, meticulously engineered, in which over two million people are being abandoned to a merciless fate.

Below is a factual and documented explanation of the underlying causes behind this total collapse of life—especially regarding food:

? What is the Gaza Strip?

Gaza is a narrow coastal strip covering just 365 square kilometers, yet it is home to over 2.3 million people, making it one of the most densely populated areas on earth. Before the war, Gaza relied almost entirely on food imports through two main crossings: the Israeli-controlled Kerem Shalom commercial crossing, and the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

But since the Israeli incursion into Rafah in May 2024, the Egyptian crossing has been completely shut. And as of March 2025, Kerem Shalom has also been nearly entirely closed. No food trucks have entered Gaza for over 80 days. The Strip is completely besieged.

? Why Don’t People Fish from the Sea?
Despite having 40 kilometers of coastline, the sea is no longer a source of food. Fishermen are barred from venturing beyond very narrow zones under threat of gunfire. The vast majority of fishing boats have been destroyed during the war. The sea is closed to the starving.
? What About Agriculture? Why Don’t They Grow Their Own Food?

Gaza’s farmland lies along its eastern border with Israel, which has been designated a "military buffer zone" where access is forbidden. Any farmer approaching these areas is targeted. On top of that, over 90% of Gaza’s population has no access to clean drinking water due to intentional supply cuts—so how could they possibly grow crops?
? What Happened to Meat and Animal Products?

Even before the war, Gaza’s livestock was limited. Today, it’s nearly nonexistent. Airstrikes destroyed barns, and the entry of animal feed and livestock has been blocked. There are no chickens, no cows, no meat. Most residents haven’t tasted meat in many months.
? Why Don’t People Store Food?

Food storage requires electricity, which has been entirely cut off since October 2023. Massive displacement—over 1.9 million Gazans have lost their homes—has made storing any supplies impossible. People barely own anything now. How could they store food?
? Where Does the Food Come From?

The only source—tragically—is Israel, which controls the crossings and decides when and how much food can enter. A few aid trucks entered during a partial ceasefire in January 2025, but that arrangement quickly collapsed. No trucks have entered for over two months.
? What’s Happening in the Markets?

100% of bakeries have shut down due to lack of fuel and flour

A 25kg sack of flour now sells for over $530, if available
There are no vegetables, no fruit, and no fresh produce
Canned food—if found—is sold at extreme prices and doesn't meet basic needs
    ? What About the Children?
Famine is now a daily reality.
    According to UN reports:
Over 1.2 million people face acute hunger
About 30% of the population—around 700,000 people—are in a state of “catastrophic food insecurity”
In the past few days alone, 111 people have died of hunger, 80 of them were children
In 2025, 21 children under five have died due to malnutrition
Over 5,100 children suffer from severe wasting and extreme underweight
? Are People Being Attacked While Seeking Aid?
    Yes.
Since May, aid has been distributed by the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, but these efforts have been met with violence. Since July 13, over 674 Palestinians have been killed while trying to get food—shot or trampled in stampedes.
? Is This a Natural Famine?

    No.

The World Health Organization has described what’s happening as a “man-made famine”—a deliberate outcome of systematic siege and starvation.
More than 100 international organizations, including the UN and Amnesty International, accuse Israel of using hunger as a weapon of war, in clear violation of international humanitarian law.
The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli officials because of this.

    ⚠️ Why Should You Care?

Because a famine is happening right now in the 21st century—in full view of the world.
    Because silence is complicity.
Because children are literally dying of hunger every single day.

    ✊ What Can You Do?

    Raise awareness

Pressure your political representatives to act

Support independent organizations delivering food to Gaza

    Share facts, not lies

Gaza is not just a humanitarian crisis. It is a silent hunger massacre happening now.

    ✊ What Can You Do?

Donate if you can — even a small amount can help a family survive another day.

All donations go directly to families in need, including my own family in Gaza, who—like so many others—are struggling every day to find food, water, and safety.

Gaza is not just a humanitarian crisis. It is a silent hunger massacre. And you can be part of the help — not the silence.
