HELP PUPPIES TO BECOME LEADERS
Walking the Camino Frances (892km/39 days), to raise money for the training of guide dogs.

Raising a guide dog costs approximately EUR40.000. It is amazing to see such guide dogs at work. The organisation that I support with this fundraiser is the Dutch guide dog association, KNGF (https://geleidehond.nl). I am currently a monthly donor to this association. On a personal level, I had a grandmother who became blind at an older age and I have seen the helplessness that sometimes goes with it.
I am Dutch, 67 years old and I love hiking. My longest hike so-far (The Hadrian Way) was 135km, so the Camino Frances (892km/39 days) will be a bit more of a challenge. I will do the walking, if YOU support me in reaching my fundraiser goal!
If this fundraiser-hike is successful, I will do it again in the future, but donate the money each time to a guide dog association in a different country.

Faire le Chemin de St Jacques (892km/39 jours), afin de collecter des fonds pour l'entrainement de chiens guides.
L'entrainement complet d'un chien-guide peut coûter jusqu'à EUR40.000. Il est formidable de voir un chien-guide à l'oeuvre. L'organisation que je soutiens cette fois-ci aves cette collecte est l'association Néerlandaise de Chiens Guide KNGF (https://geleidehond.nl). Je suis donateur mensuel de cette association. Sur un plan personnel, ma grand-mère est devenue totalement aveugle dans la deuxième partie de sa vie et j'ai pu voir l'impuissance que cela pu entraîner.
Je suis Hollandais, j'ai 67 ans et j'adore la randonnée. La randonnée la plus longue que j'a faite est le Chemin de Hadrien (135km), donc le Camino Frances (892km/39 jours) va être un challenge un peu plus conséquent. C'est à MOI de terminer le Camino, c'est à VOUS de m'aider à réaliser mon objectif de collecte!
Si cette collecte est une réussite, je le ferai de nouveau dans l'avenir, mais l'argent sera destiné à une association similaire dans une autre pays.

Het doel is de zogenaamde Camino Francés te lopen (892km/39 jours), om geld in te zamelen voor het trainen van geleide-honden.
Het compleet trainen van een geleide-hond kan tot EUR 40.000 kosten. Het is fantastisch te zien hoe een getrainde geleide-hond voor zijn begeleider zorgt. De organisatie die ik dit keer ondersteun, is het Koninklijk Nederlands Geleidehonden Fonds KNGF ((https://geleidehond.nl).
Ik ben zelf maandelijkse donateur aan dit fonds. Ik heb persoonlijk mijn grootmoeder in de tweede helft van haar leven volkomen blind zien worden en heb kunnen zien tot welk hulpeloosheid dit in bepaalde gevallen kan leiden.
Ik ben Nederlander, 67 jaar oud, en hou enorm van serieus wandelen. Het langste dat ik gewandeld heb is de Hadrian Way, ongeveer 132km, dus de Camino Frances wordt nog wel een uitdaging voor mij. IK zal er voor zorgen dat ik de lange tocht af maak, als JULLIE mij helpen mijn financiële doel te halen!
Als deze fund-raiser succesvol is, dan zal ik zeker nog andere vergelijkbare wandeltochten organiseren, maar de opbrengsten gaan dan naar soort-gelijke organisaties in andere landen.
