The Company and the Project: This document presents the project of the company FOCAS, LDA Production of Chicks, Hens' Eggs, and Quails, a company focused on the poultry industry and incubators, dedicated to the production of chicks and eggs from laying hens and quails. This means that all production will adhere to concepts and rules that respect the environment and local culture. All the company data, its strategic and financial planning will be presented here, with the financial aspect focusing on just three batches, which include purchasing, incubating, producing, laying, and selling chicks, eggs, and birds from laying hens. The choice of this business plan segment reflects a new perception among companies regarding environmental protection and health, which were previously seen as limiting production synonyms, but are now viewed as financial opportunities and free marketing for the company's image in society. Organic products represent a new market niche with a growing demand worldwide. FOCAS, Lda will be the first microenterprise in the region to adopt this business model. The operation of the company: The company has two owners, Abilio Mario Cumbe & Magreta Arlindo Tivane, who hold degrees in Accounting & Nutrition and Health, respectively, with courses in system analysis and development, warehouse management systems (WMS) consulting, and experience in various companies in the area of Accounting and logistics. They will hold the positions of General Director and Administrator respectively, with salaries as pro-labore. The company will employ only one CLT employee, who will be hired by its owners, namely, the General Director, who will manage all operational production aspects. The owner s wife and children will also assist in the company, more as family members, without an employment relationship. The company will have an office in Maputo Province, at Machava KM 15 house 75A Q6, in a house owned by the proprietor, and the farm will be in a property yet to be acquired in the Tenga area, covering 50 by 100 meters, in the Municipality of Matola, 22 km from Machava KM15.

The Products: The company will initially market organic chicks and eggs, and after the laying cycle, also chickens for slaughter in the process known as culling. A production cycle lasts about 2 years and 2 months, with 2 months until laying, and 2 years of egg production. Investments, however, are structured for 25 years, while machines and equipment are for 10 years. That is, a minimum of 6.25 production cycles can occur without new investments in machines and equipment, and 11.36 production cycles without new investments in physical structure, as the barn has an estimated lifespan of 25 years.

The Commerce: The initial batches of products may not be sufficient to meet the general public's demand, as market research indicates that consumers of the chicks are small poultry farmers who raise chicks and sell birds for consumption. Organic eggs are mostly sought by the middle class or the general public, with purchasing capacity and informal consumption. This public buys eggs from street vendors for small breakfasts and boiled eggs on the street; informal resellers purchase to sell on the street and in snack bars throughout the city. Additionally, for those who typically lunch and dine in restaurants and snack bars, reaching this audience can be achieved by selling to young individuals and women who sell in bazaars (markets) and restaurants and snack bars, as they will handle the marketing for their clients, including contact with the farm supplying the organic eggs. In this way, everyone benefits.

Investment To start the business, an investment of $50,000.00 will be needed for structure, machines, and equipment, along with an additional $35,000.00 in capital to sustain the company for the first 6 months without egg production, totaling an investment of $85,000.00. Costs and revenues The total costs of the company have been calculated at $180,000, which will yield $240,000.00 in net revenue over 26 months, resulting in a profit of $60,000.00. According to feasibility results, production indicators estimate profitability of 21.5% over 26 months when the sale of the first batch of 3,500 laying hens is completed. The data also indicates that profitability will be 51.26% with a return on initial investment in 2 years and 2 months.

1. THE BUSINESS PLAN

1.1. CONCEPT OF A BUSINESS PLAN When starting a new company, the entrepreneur must create a business plan, as this document describes the set of processes and activities necessary for the management and even the survival of the company.

1.2. THE BUSINESS

Research indicates that the concept of organic products is one of the fastest-growing globally; in Mozambique, it has been growing at a slower pace, but the trend is to continue growing like the rest of the world, leading investors to believe that this will be one of the most important niches in Mozambique s agricultural market in the coming years.

Aiming to serve this market, the business of this company will be to produce and market organic eggs, as it will address one of the increasingly pressing needs in society, which is the consumption of healthy foods free from chemical additives. The viability of the business will be supported in this business plan, demonstrating in each section that a company can be profitable while prioritizing people's well-being, showing that being recognized as a humanized company is the best marketing strategy to earn customer loyalty.

1.3. BENEFITS FOR THE CUSTOMER

The greatest benefit that the company will provide for customers will be the availability of products in a business model that considers the health of customers, the welfare of animals, and environmental protection as non-negotiable parts of its business rules.

Consumers are increasingly interested in sustainability and healthier foods, and they are willing to pay more for these differentiators.

2. COMPANY PRESENTATION

The name chosen for the company is FOCAS, Lda, with Foco being the name of one of the partners and owners. An incubator and egg producer, it was conceived under the concept of organic production, as every farm focused on producing chicks and eggs divides into four parts: The incubator, the nursery, the farm, and the commercial office. The nursery is the structure that receives the chicks and where they will grow and produce eggs; in other words, it will be the factory of the company. The farm is where the eggs are received for cleaning, classification, packaging, storage, and shipping; that is, the inventory of the company. The commercial office is where the company's administration will take place, making strategic decisions like purchasing, sales, accounting, and human resources. The company's office, located at Machava KM 15 house 75A in Matola Province, will be where all communication with clients and suppliers occurs.

2.1. LOGO

The logo is part of the company s visual identity; it is a perceptual symbol, a symbolic expression associated with a set of colors. It represents the company's personality. Visual identity is solely a graphic representation of the corporate unit, blended with the company s concepts and values. The logo of FOCAS, Lda features a pentagon, representing the five strategic values of the company; its shape also resembles an egg carton, and the green leaf around the name symbolizes the interaction with the environment advocated in the concept of organic products.
