On March 10, 2023, Saptari Majumdar, an undergraduate student at Stanford, was mugged, beaten, and thrown across the ground on a San Francisco BART train. His passport and phone were both stolen in the process. Saptari is wheelchair-bound, making him completely defenseless against this cruel attack. Sadly, a nearly-full train car of 50+ people all took no action while watching the attack occur.
