Children in Gaza are experiencers of war. Every child around 9 years old has already experienced three of them. Growing up with the terrifying sound of F-16s in the sky, exploding bombs and screeching ambulances, war has become part of their lives. Not to mention family members and neighbors killed or wounded.

The latest war, now a year old, is a daily reality for children with trauma. "They feel like it's all happening right now. Their heads are full of sounds and images. That makes them very restless and afraid," says Palestinian psychologist Hasan Zeyada (51).
