Steun onze rechtszaak zodat NMBS niet in zee gaat met een bedrijf dat de Palestijnse onderdrukking versterkt!

Al Haq Europe, Intal Globalize Solidarity , 11. 11.11 en Vrede vzw, vertegenwoordigd door Progress Lawyers Network, stappen met een spoedprocedure naar de Belgische Raad van State waarin ze eisen dat de NMBS geen monstercontract van 3 miljard euro aangaat met het Spaanse spoorwegbedrijf CAF.

Waarom? 

CAF speelt een essentiële rol bij de uitbreiding van een tramlijn  die illegale Israëlische nederzettingen op de Westelijke Jordaanoever verbindt met West-Jeruzalem. Deze nederzettingen zijn an sich al illegaal volgens het internationaal recht. De tramlijn versterkt ook de Israëlische controle over Palestijns gebied en draagt bij aan de de facto annexatie ervan. Deze infrastructuur gaat niet alleen om transport maar is bedoeld om de Palestijnse mobiliteit te beperken. Palestijnse gebieden worden verder opgedeeld en Palestijnse gemeenschappen  verder versnipperd. Dat is wat we apartheid noemen: een misdaad tegen de menselijkheid.

Kortom: door CAF te financieren, draagt België bij aan de Palestijnse onderdrukking. Het belastinggeld van de Belgische bevolking mag niet naar een bedrijf gaan dat de mensenrechten overduidelijk schendt. 

De NMBS heeft de wettelijke verplichting om een aanbestedingsbeleid te voeren dat de mensenrechten respecteert. Elke investering of elk contract met bedrijven die medeplichtig zijn aan ernstige schendingen van de mensenrechten moet stopgezet worden. 

We hebben nu uw steun nodig: draag bij aan onze crowdfundingcampagne om onze juridische en campagnekosten te dekken. 

Als we deze zaak winnen, scheppen we een precedent op het gebied van aansprakelijkheid van publieke bedrijven in de mensenrechtenschendingen van Israël, in België en daarbuiten.

Soutenez financièrement notre action en justice pour empêcher la SNCB de s'associer à une entreprise qui renforce l'oppression palestinienne.

Al Haq Europe, INTAL Globalize Solidarity, 11.11.11 et Vrede vzw, représentées par Progress Lawyers Network porter plainte auprès accélérée auprès du Conseil d'État belge exigeant que la SNCB ne signe pas un contrat colossal de 3 milliards d'euros avec la compagnie ferroviaire espagnole CAF. 

Pourquoi ? 

CAF joue un rôle essentiel dans l'extension d'une ligne de tramway reliant les colonies israéliennes illégales de Cisjordanie à Jérusalem-Ouest, ce qui est illégal au regard du droit international. 

Cette ligne de tramway renforce également le contrôle israélien sur le territoire palestinien et contribue donc à son annexion dans les faits. Cette infrastructure ne sert pas uniquement au transport, mais vise à restreindre la mobilité des Palestinien.ne.s. 

Le territoire palestinien est encore plus divisé et le peuple palestinien, fragmenté. 

C'est ce qui s’appelle l'apartheid : un crime contre l'humanité. 

En bref : en finançant CAF, la Belgique contribue à l’oppression palestinienne. 

L’argent des contribuables belges ne devrait pas être versé à une entreprise qui viole ouvertement les droits humains. La SNCB a l’obligation légale de mettre en œuvre une politique de marché public respectueuse des droits humains. Tout investissement ou contrat avec des entreprises complices de graves violations des droits humains doit être résilié.

Support our lawsuit to prevent SNCB from partnering with a company that reinforces the oppression of Palestinians!

Al Haq Europe, Intal Globalize Solidarity, 11.11.11, and Vrede vzw, represented by Progress Lawyers Network, are filing an urgent procedure with the Belgian Council of State. They demand that SNCB not proceed with a massive €3 billion contract with the Spanish railway company CAF.

Why?

CAF plays a key role in the expansion of a tramline that connects illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank to West Jerusalem. These settlements are illegal under international law. The tramline further strengthens Israeli control over Palestinian territory and contributes to its de facto annexation. This infrastructure is not just about transport — it is designed to restrict Palestinian mobility. Palestinian areas are further fragmented, and Palestinian communities further divided. This is what we call apartheid: a crime against humanity.

In short: by financing CAF, Belgium contributes to the oppression of the Palestinian people. Belgian taxpayers' money should not go to a company that is clearly complicit in human rights violations.

SNCB has a legal obligation to conduct its procurement policy in a way that respects human rights. Any investment or contract with companies involved in serious human rights violations must be stopped.

Al Haq Europe, Intal Globalize Solidarity, 11.11.11 y Vrede vzw, representados por Progress Lawyers Network, presentan un procedimiento de urgencia ante el Consejo de Estado belga. Exigen que la SNCB no siga adelante con un contrato masivo de 3.000 millones de euros con la empresa ferroviaria española CAF.

¿Por qué?

CAF desempeña un papel clave en la ampliación de una línea de tranvía que conecta asentamientos israelíes ilegales en Cisjordania con Jerusalén Occidental. Estos asentamientos son ilegales según el derecho internacional. La línea de tranvía refuerza aún más el control israelí sobre el territorio palestino y contribuye a su anexión de facto. Esta infraestructura no es sólo de transporte: está diseñada para restringir la movilidad palestina. Se fragmentan aún más las zonas palestinas y se dividen aún más las comunidades palestinas. Esto es lo que llamamos apartheid: un crimen contra la humanidad.

En resumen: al financiar la CAF, Bélgica contribuye a la opresión del pueblo palestino. El dinero de los contribuyentes belgas no debería ir a una empresa que es claramente cómplice de violaciones de los derechos humanos.

La SNCB tiene la obligación legal de llevar a cabo su política de adquisiciones respetando los derechos humanos. Hay que poner fin a cualquier inversión o contrato con empresas implicadas en graves violaciones de derechos humanos.
