Liam's Mental Health Fundraiser
Using the rugby season to raise money for mental health charities
Hello all! This year, in memory of my childhood friend, I will be combining the rugby season with a personal goal of raising money for mental health charities. I will be donating money to two different charities throughout the year (The Community Help Service, The Talk to me foundation).
To align this with the rugby season I will be donating:
- €20 for every win of any of the 5 seniors XV teams (3 men’s, and 2 women’s teams)
- €10 for every try I score (with a minimum of 50 euros if I truly have a shocking season),
- and for any of the 5 teams that win their division outright I will donate a further €100.
With every donation I make, probably on a monthly basis, split in half between the two charities.
This is a personal challenge for myself, but if anyone is willing to contribute, or help in any way, I have opened a fundraising page to allow people to do so.
I've given myself a couple of targets to reach for the season:
- 500 euro raised: Tattoo inspired by challenge
- 1000 euro raised: All my DS station shifts in costume (from moment goal is reached until end of the season)
- 2000 euro raised: I’ll shave my head
