Help om de woon/werk en theaterbus van Arno Setz te herstellen
Een boom verwoestte in 1 klap huis, theater en werkplaats op wielen.
Tijdens een zomerstorm vernietigde een boom mijn mobiele thuis. Ik had een jaar gewerkt om een bestelbus om te bouwen als leef/werkplek en theater op wielen. Net op het moment dat ik definitief afscheid nam van een vast adres sloeg het noodlot toe.
De coronaperiode met alle lockdowns was het zetje om anders te gaan leven. Met hart en ziel werkte ik aan de bus. Ik wilde vrij kunnen bewegen om mijn werk als theatermaker te kunnen doen. Helaas maakte de boom aan dit plan acuut een einde. Naast de emotionele schade is de materiele schade enorm. De bus was net klaar en zou in enkele weken worden gekeurd en daarna verzekerd als camper. Nu was er niets verzekerd. Alle inrichting incluis de nieuw ingebouwde apparatuur, de elektra, de airco, geluidssysteem, alles was kapot door de klap van de boom en door waterschade.
Behalve een jaar werk en al het materiaal verloor ik ook de opdrachten die ik uit zou voeren met de bus als theater en werkplek. Een totaal schade van 25.000 euro. Ik had gedacht wel weer op te krabbelen maar een jaar later is dat nog steeds niet gebeurd. Het lukt niet om zelf alles weer opnieuw op te bouwen. De bus is nog steeds onbewoonbaar. De moedeloosheid is ondertussen toegeslagen na maandenlang gedoe. Maar de boom mag niet het laatste woord hebben. Daarom vraag ik nu om hulp. Ik ben gewend, zonder hulp te vragen, alles zelf op te lossen maar de boom helpt mij op een nieuwe weg. Versla het lot, door er omheen te gaan.
Met ondersteuning kan ik het basisherstel van de bus uit handen geven. Zodat er weer een leefbare situatie ontstaat waar ik weer in kan werken en daarvanuit optredens kan geven. Met de bus weer op poten help je niet alleen mij maar ook vele anderen die door optredens verrast en verblijd worden zoals met het Popup in Corona tijden, Kunst in tehuizen en instellingen, films en filmfestivals met sociale thema’s.
Om de bus weer uit te voeren met de basisvoorwaarden om erin te kunnen leven, te werken en uitvoeringen te kunnen geven is 8500 euro nodig. Ik hoop via steunactie in ieder geval de helft bij elkaar te krijgen.

During a summer storm, a tree destroyed my mobile home. I had worked for a year to convert a van into a living / working place and theater on wheels. Just when I said goodbye to a permanent address, fate struck.
The corona period with all the lockdowns was the push to start living differently. With heart and soul I worked on the bus. I wanted to be able to move freely in order to do my work as a theater maker. Unfortunately, the tree abruptly put an end to this plan. In addition to the emotional damage, the material damage is enormous. The bus was just finished and would be inspected in a few weeks and then insured as a camper. Now nothing was insured. All furnishings including the newly built equipment, the electricity, the air conditioning, sound system, everything was broken by the impact of the tree and by water damage.
Besides a year of work and all the material, I also lost the assignments that I would carry out with the bus as a theater and workplace. A total damage of 25,000 euros. I thought I would get back on track, but a year later that still hasn't happened. It is not possible to rebuild everything yourself. The bus is still uninhabitable. Despondency has now set in after months of hassle. But the tree should not have the last word. That's why I'm asking for help now. I am used to solving everything myself without asking for help, but the tree helps me on a new path. Defeat fate by going around it.
With support I can hand over the basic repair of the bus. So that a livable situation arises again in which I can work again and give performances from there. With the bus back on its feet, you not only help me, but also many others who are surprised and delighted by performances, such as with the Popup in Corona times, Art in homes and institutions, films and film festivals with social themes.
To restore the bus with the basic conditions to live, work and perform in it, 8500 euros is needed. I hope to get at least half together through support action.
