In the rural country of east Zimbabe, in the village Penhalonga many families are living in poverty. Most of the children are vulnerable to malnutrition, since parents/guardians cannot afford a balanced diet. Due to the harsh economic environment and the impact of Covid, many parents find it difficult to send their sibblings to pre-education and early childhood development.

Many children are often seen playing in the streets, whilst the parents/guardians are gone to look for food or a day-job. Hence juvenile delinquency has become rampant in the area. The Little Stars Nursery School saw the need to help the little children in this area, with offering early childhood development, prior to grade one (of primary school).

But they don't have a proper school building. They now use a small, wooden shed with corrugated iron roof as their ‘school’. The walls of a better schoolbuilding have been built, but it is not finished yet.

With this fundraising we want to gain the money necessary to build a roof over this construction and the walls that have been built before. With your help these small children will have better circumstances to get education. In the future, more has to be done, but the roof will be a great step forward in having a school. And this helps them build their own future. If more then sufficient funds have been raised to finish the roof, additional money will be used for constructing class rooms and sanitary.
