In Bouskoura, a small town on the outskirts of Casablanca, our family is facing a significant and painful situation. My uncle, who has devoted his entire life to building a home, is now confronted with an uncertain future. He has worked tirelessly for years, investing his savings and every cent he could spare into realizing his dream house for his family and in-laws. This house is not just a place to live; it is a symbol of his dedication, hard work, and hope for a better future.
Unfortunately, the government has announced that homes must be evacuated in connection with the upcoming World Cup in Morocco and the construction of a tramway. This news hit us like a ton of bricks. My uncle and his family have less than three months to rebuild their lives, with a meager compensation of only 10,000 euros. This amount is far below the value of their home and the costs of finding a new place.
Time is running out, and the stress of finding a suitable home while facing their emotions and uncertainties is overwhelming. We want to help them take the right steps to find a new home, but financial support is crucial. That’s why we have set up this crowdfunding campaign.

Mijn oom, die zijn hele leven heeft gewijd aan het bouwen van een huis, staat nu voor een onzekere toekomst. Hij heeft jarenlang hard gewerkt, zijn spaargeld en elke cent die hij kon missen geïnvesteerd in het realiseren van zijn droomhuis voor zijn gezin en schoonouders. Dit huis is niet alleen een plek om te wonen, maar ook een symbool van zijn toewijding, hard werken en de hoop op een betere toekomst.
Helaas heeft de overheid aangekondigd dat er huizen ontruimd moeten worden in verband met de aanstaande WK in Marokko en de aanleg van een tramweg. Dit nieuws kwam als een slag in het hart voor ons allemaal. Mijn oom en zijn gezin krijgen minder dan drie maanden om hun leven opnieuw op te bouwen, met een sombere compensatie van slechts 10.000 euro. Dit bedrag is ver onder de waarde van hun woning en de kosten van een nieuwe plek.
De tijd dringt, en de stress om een geschikte woning te vinden, terwijl ze ook hun emoties en onzekerheden onder ogen zien, is overweldigend. We willen hen helpen de juiste stappen te zetten om een nieuwe woning te vinden, maar de financiële steun is cruciaal. Daarom hebben we deze crowdfundingcampagne opgezet.
