Radio station Yantarne.FM in Ukraine seeks help. There is a lot of pressure on the connections and they suffer from defective material.
Eric Feijten has been a cameraman and has been shooting for the NOS for three weeks in Lviv, Ukraine. On March 5, he made a short report at the local radio station Yantarne.FM.
This hastily set up radio station from Novoyavorivsk/Lviv transmits important information and that information also reaches other parts of the country. The radio stations in Ukraine are holding a news marathon where local stations join forces. But there is a lot of pressure on the connections and they suffer from defective material.
Yantarne.FM is set up by Andrew, a local DJ/radio producer who makes broadcasts with borrowed stuff from the DJ scene, with two old microphones, a mixer and a laptop. With volunteers he provides broadcasts from a very small improvised studio.
Andrew needs a modest amount of new equipment to improve the broadcasts. He has sent an overview of the equipment in question and the total costs are € 2558.00. There is now a donor who has already donated a mixing console and this one has arrived at Yantarne.FM in Lviv. These costs are therefore not included in the target amount. As a co-sponsor, the Bax-Shop offers the necessary equipment for the purchase price. That saves 25% in costs!

Eric Feijten is cameraman en net terug van 4 weken voor opnamen NOS in Lviv, Oekraïne. Hij maakte op 5 maart een korte reportage bij het lokale radiostation Yantarne.FM.
Dit in de haast opgezette radiostation uit Novoyavorivsk/Lviv speelt belangrijke informatie door en die informatie bereikt dan ook andere delen van het land. De radiostations in Oekraïne houden een nieuwsmarathon waarbij lokale stations hun krachten bundelen. Maar is veel druk op de verbindingen en ze kampen met gebrekkig materiaal.
Yantarne.FM is opgetuigd door Andrew, een lokale DJ/radiomaker die uitzendingen realiseert met geleende spullen uit de DJ scene, met twee oude microfoons, een mixer en een laptop. Met vrijwilligers verzorgt hij uitzendingen vanuit een zeer klein geïmproviseerd studiootje.
Andrew heeft een bescheiden hoeveelheid nieuwe apparatuur nodig om de uitzendingen te kunnen verbeteren. Hij heeft een overzicht gestuurd van de apparatuur waar het om gaat en de totale kosten zijn € 2558,00. Er is inmiddels een donateur die al een mengpaneel heeft gedoneerd en deze is in Lviv bij Yantarne.FM aangekomen. Deze kosten zijn dus niet meegenomen in het streef bedrag. De Bax-Shop biedt als mede sponsor de benodigde apparatuur voor inkoopprijs aan. Dat scheelt 25% in de kosten!
