Help Juliëtte in haar strijd tegen anorexia

Mijn nicht Juliëtte (19) uit Eindhoven is als sinds haar 13e in gevecht met anorexia en een dwangstoornis. Ze is een lief, gevoelig en dapper meisje, met grote dromen - ze wil later anderen helpen als therapeut.

Na verschillende behandelingen in Nederland leek er in 2025 eindelijk hoop toen ze in de Montrose-kliniek in Kaapstad intensieve hulp kreeg. Even ging het beter. Maar begin 2026 ging het opnieuw snel achteruit.

We geloven dat Montrose haar de beste kansen geeft op herstel. Deze gespecialiseerde kliniek richt zich op langdurige eetstoornissen en biedt zorg vanuit holistisch perspectief. Groot voordeel is dat er (bijna) geen wachttijd is. Alleen…dit keer wordt de behandeling niet vergoed.

Dus deze ziekte is niet alleen emotioneel erg zwaar, maar ook financieel. Daarom wil ik mijn nicht, en daarmee hun hele gezin, helpen de financiële lasten via deze steunactie draagbaarder te maken.

Help Juliëtte in her fight against anorexia

My niece Juliëtte (19) from Eindhoven has been battling anorexia and OCD since she was 13. She is a kind, sensitive and brave young woman with big dreams - she hopes to become a therapist one day and help others.

After several treatments in the Netherlands, there was finally hope in 2025 when she received intensive care at the Montrose clinic in Cape Town. For a while, things improved. But at the beginning of 2026, her condition rapidly declined again.

We believe Montrose offers her the best chance at recovery. This specialized clinic focuses on long-term eating disorders and provides holistic care. A major advantage is that is little to no waiting time. However…this time, the treatment is not covered by insurance.

This illness in not only emotionally devastating, but also a heavy financial burden. That's why I want to support my niece - and her entire family - by helping to ease these costs through this fundraiser.
