For months, my family and I have been living under the roar of explosions and the constant smell of fear. Our daily life has turned into a struggle for survival, and everything we once knew about safety and peace has vanished overnight. Securing food, clean water, and temporary shelter has become a daily challenge, and our children are growing up amid loss instead of learning and playing.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Al-Azhar University on 1 September 2023, just one month before the war began, but due to the ongoing crisis, I have been unable to receive my certificate.

Despite these hardships, I volunteered as a nurse in shelter schools to serve my community during these difficult times. However, the war has deprived me of receiving my certificate and continuing my education, working, traveling, living my life, and achieving my dreams.

On 2 June 2025, my beloved brother Wissam Zain Al-Din Al-Kurd was martyred in a brutal airstrike. He was my elder brother, my dearest friend, and a piece of my heart. Though we lost him physically, he will forever live in our hearts and memories. He was a loving father to six children, their support and role model.
