Shet Ranch Vally is a non-profit organization (Foundation), which is available seven days a week for (A)ponies that are in danger of falling between the cracks.

Foundation “Shet Ranch Vally”: A refuge for neglected (A)ponies (mini horses) (shetlanders) with a maximum withers height of 1.20.

In the world of animal welfare, there are organizations that distinguish themselves through their determination and dedication to give abused and neglected animals a second chance. One of these remarkable organizations is “Shet Ranch Vally,” a foundation that focuses on the rescue, care and rehabilitation of neglected ponies.

The mission of “Shet Ranch Vally” is simple but powerful: they want to provide a safe haven for (A)ponies that have fallen victim to neglect, abuse or other forms of abuse. This organization, located in Ellecom Municipality of Rheden, has established itself as a beacon of light for (A)ponies in need in the region and beyond.

The Path to Recovery

When a neglected horse arrives at “Shet Ranch Vally”, their journey to recovery begins. The foundation provides medical care, nutrition, and important rehabilitation programs to restore the physical and emotional health of the animals. Each horse receives the time and attention it deserves to become healthy and happy again.

Fortunately, we can rely on specialists in our network who provide us with advice on a possible approach. In 2025, the Shet Ranch Vally foundation received ANBI status from the tax authorities. With the receipt of ANBI status, no donation tax has to be paid on legacies.

In 2025, we started setting up the first Equi habitat there to keep horses as natural as possible, and a start has been made with the knowledge center for (A)ponies.
