Smartnakuru is a community based organisation working with underprivileged women and adolescent girls in Kenya. The organisation has been supporting these target groups gain skills in tailoring, embroidery and knitting.

So far , we have trained 454 women and girls since inception in 2004. Many of the ex- trainees are struggling to find start ups ( sewing machines and cloth materials) for this reason, we started a table banking , where women save little money and later access to loans to purchase the sewing machines and fabric materials.

We are looking for funds to scale up the kitty , this will enable many women to get loans.
