Renovating and reopening of the Kumara Lighthouse in Dondra, Sri Lanka ❤️
Help Sanduni (18) and her family make their house livable again and ready for guests, so they can generate more income
This fundraising campaign is for Sanduni (18), her mother Minsara, her brother Dewshi (14), and sister Manoji (2).
The family lives in a beautiful but dilapidated (guest) house on the coast of Dondra, Sri Lanka. The house is named after 'Kumara,' the father and husband of the family, who passed away 6 years ago.
After his death, Sanduni became the sole breadwinner of the family. As a result, she cannot go to school, and there is not enough income to maintain the house.
Although this family has little, they give a lot, and their hearts are full of love. They make every effort to ensure that guests of the lighthouse have a wonderful experience during their stay. With local food, traditional dancing, and making guests feel like part of their family.
With the money, the family can renovate the guest room and perhaps the rest of the house. This would provide more income and a more livable environment. It would give Sanduni in special more rest, and hopefully, she will be able to return to school for a few days.
