An Orphaned Heart, Injustice, and Life Far From Home

My name is Meriem, and I am a young woman from North Africa currently living abroad, far from my family and the place I call home.

Since losing my father, I have carried a deep sadness in my heart. He was my source of comfort, strength, and security. Facing life’s difficulties without him has been incredibly painful.

Despite the challenges of living abroad, I worked hard and saved my money through honest work, hoping to build a better future. Sadly, my hard-earned savings went missing while I was staying with a family. I tried to resolve the situation peacefully and recover my money, but I have been left without a clear answer.

Losing my savings has left me in a difficult financial situation. I am now struggling to afford basic necessities such as food, rent, and transportation.

Being far from home, grieving my father, and facing these hardships alone has made this period especially difficult.

I am not asking for a luxurious life. I simply hope to receive enough support to meet my basic needs, regain stability, and rebuild my life with dignity.
