in november 2022 I received a settlement bill of 12000€ from the energy company. I have a sole proprietorship (a hair salon) and I live upstairs with my 3 little kids who I have with me every other week. Over the past year I have tried through various channels to dispute this bill but to no avail (because one cannot clearly state how this "error" could have occurred) it actually concerns the following: in the statements of previous years it can be seen that I always had a normal average consumption for a family of 4 and taking into account the hair salon I run. Except in the year 2021. There you can see that the consumption suddenly skyrockets and is enormously high, according to Fluvius as big as a school. The strange thing is that in 2022 consumption is normal again. I don't know what more I can do to figure this out and so I am forced to pay this debt. It feels very bitter because in 2021 I couldn't use any heating either because the boiler had failed, only hot water still worked. That was also checked and they couldn't show anything that showed higher consumption. I have written to the Ombudsman's Office, Fluvius, Eneco, Ocmw, caw, City Hall, and the electricity loss investigation service. At the moment I have started to pay the bill because there was interest on it but if I don't find a solution to pay it off all at once I will be forced to pay it off monthly for the next 4 years.
